Several years ago an adoptive family called and asked me to put together a do-it-yourself forms kit so they could re-adopt their daughter, whom they had adopted in China, without having to use an attorney. The result was the Oregon Re-adoption Forms kit, with instructions, that is available through my office.
The kit, used successfully throughout Oregon by several hundred families, provides all the forms needed to file and finalize your re-adoption in Oregon, as well as the forms needed to obtain an Oregon birth certificate for your child.
Prerequisites for using the re-adoption forms kit are:
Adoptive parent(s) must be Oregon resident(s) for more than six months at the time they file the re-adoption Petition with the Court
Adoptive parent(s) need to have completed the legal adoption of their child in the other country
The forms are available for couples and single parents.
Cost: $210.00 for the re-adoption forms kit, with instructions, for one child
$250.00 for the re-adoption forms kit, with instructions, for two children
Additional costs to complete your re-adoption (not paid to Robin Pope) will include:
$106.00 filing fee paid to the State of Oregon
$ 50.00 fee paid to Oregon Vital Records for an Oregon birth certificate for
your child
