- Northwest Adoptive Families (NAFA) is a non-profit, all volunteer support group for adoptive families and those interested in adoption. NAFA is actively involved in education, advocacy and support for its nearly four hundred member families located throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. NAFA sponsors a baby and toddler care class, a bi-monthly waiting families meeting, a bi-annual conference and other educational seminars, has a library available through the Lake Oswego Library and Fort Vancouver Regional Library, and holds an annual campout and several other social events.

- For adoption attorneys in other states The American Academy of Adoption Attorneys is a national association of approximately 330 attorneys who practice, or have otherwise distinguished themselves, in the field of adoption law. The Academy’s work includes promoting the reform of adoption laws and disseminating information on ethical adoption practices. The Academy publishes a newsletter, holds annual meetings and hosts educational seminars.
